| | 2010 Intensive 16-Hour ERCP Course for Nurses and GI Technologists: A Hands-On Workshop FEE: $500/Participant. Participants will assist John G. Lee, MD, director of pancreaticobiliary services, and his experienced nursing staff during actual patient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Participants assist in performing ERCP procedures to refine their skills in wire exchange, lithotripsy, stenting and other complex therapeutic maneuvers. Due to the intensity of this training, space is limited to 5 persons per course. The California Board of Registered Nurses designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13.0 contact hours. Participants will interact with nurses and physicians performing endoscopic ultrasound procedures and assist during fine needle aspiration, preparation of cytology specimens, celiac block and more as the cases permit. Due to the intensity of this training, space is limited to 4 persons per course. The California Board of Registered Nurses designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13.0 contact hours. Chao Comprehensive Digestive Disease Center proudly presents its 3rd Annual Gastroenterology & Hepatology Symposium to take place Oct. 8-9, at The Bellagio Las Vegas. The symposium, titled 'Practical Case-Oriented Approaches in Gastroenterology & Hepatology,' will provide, through formal lectures and question-and-answer sessions, updates on new approaches in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. The curriculum covers a myriad of topics including the upper GI tract, colon and rectal, pancreatic and biliary, hepatology and inflammatory bowel disease.
